Spay and Neuter & Low-Income Assistance Programs in Baton Rouge
CAAWS is proud to offer two spay/neuter programs to assist community members with the cost of spaying/neutering their cat or dog. These two programs help us fulfill our mission of promoting spaying and neutering and responsible pet ownership.
Our S/N programs are available to residents in:

- East Feliciana
- Iberville
- Livingston
- West Baton Rouge
- West Feliciana
Spay/Neuter Coupon Programs
CAAWS offers a unique program open to residents of East Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes. CAAWS provides $25.00 spay/neuter coupons that can be redeemed at a participating veterinary clinic. The coupons are non-transferable.
The program is only offered to individual pet owners for their companion animals. The program is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a limit of two coupons per month and six coupons per year per household. To obtain a coupon, please fill out our form online.
CAAWS Spay/Neuter and Veterinary Assistance Program
CAAWS offers spay/neuter and veterinary assistance vouchers to low-income residents of East Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes. The voucher covers the full cost of a spay/neuter surgery and/or preventative/routine veterinary care at a CAAWS-approved veterinary hospital.
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to a voucher limit. Participants are limited to two companion animals per household. Household income limits apply. The program is only available for companion animals owned by individuals.
- Please note: To receive veterinary assistance, all companion animals must be spayed/neutered or scheduled to be spayed/neutered.
