Tabor is a loving cat that needs individual attention. He doesn't do well in the group environment that the shelter offers. An Foster Home would give him the opportunity to show his real personality at adoption days.

CAAWS Foster Home Program

CAAWS relies on the volunteers who give their time, love and home to our foster animals. The cats and dogs CAAWS takes care of have never had a stable home life or have lost their home through some misfortune. If you have a little space in your home and a lot of love in your heart, become a foster parent.

  • A foster parent provides love, companionship, food and shelter. You can even provide basic lessons on how to be a good dog or cat. The foster parent is also responsible for bringing the pet to adoption days on a regular basis.
  • CAAWS provides a healthy, spayed/neutered animal. CAAWS will also provide any medical care necessary and medicines for heartworm and flea prevention.
  • A pet provides love, loyalty, company and a willingness to become a good boy/girl.
  • There is also a real need for Foster homes with no other animals present (some examples on this page).
