The following items are needed at The Shelter:
-Leashes (Especially for large dogs)
-Dog Collars any size (Break Away or Snap Collars only, no buckles (like a belt)
-Cat Collars (Break Away Only)
-Milkbones
-Dry Food (we feed our dogs science diet puppy, science diet kitten and science diet adult canine and feline but can get any other food to other groups or needy people)
-Feral Cat food (we feed our feral cats Purina or whatever is donated)
-Wet food
-Bleach
-Paper Towels
-Clorox Clean Up Refill Bottles
-Air Wick or Lysol Automatic Spray Refill Cans
-Tide HE Detergent
-Cascade Liquid Dishwashing Detergent
-Tall Kitchen Trash Bags
-Brushes for dogs or cats
-Toenail Clippers for dogs or cats
-Office Supplies (ink pens, ink jet paper, notebooks, clipboards, notepads, scissors, etc.)
-Bath Mats (work really well for bedding, old but not frayed)
-Towels (old but not torn)
-Blankets (can be old but not torn)
-Sheets
-Cat bedding
-Old Multi-Tiered Cat Trees that are not too worn
-De-wormers
-Bio Spot flea preventative (this is the cheapest brand and works just as well as the others)
-Revolution for cats
-Toys (durable is best, they love tennis balls, rope toys, etc.)
-Any good shampoos like oatmeal shampoos or flea shampoos
-Pre-paid gas cards (for doing home checks and transport)
-Gift Certificates to Kinko’s for printing
-Pet carriers
-Dog Crates (wire or plastic)
-Pet bowls
-One gallon stainless steel buckets
-Litter Boxes
-Kitty Litter (Clay or scoop-able we usually use fresh step)
-And of course money is always accepted

Anything you imagine that could be used at a shelter probably can. If we cannot use it we will try and find someone who can. Thank You for your generosity.
 

Donations to CAAWS

Now you don't even have to lick a stamp to provide help for the animals. You can make a secure, online donation using your credit card. Just choose the level of help you can provide by clicking on the appropriate donation button below. If you would like to choose your own level of donation, simply click on the "Other Donation" button. If you choose monthly donation, your credit card will be automatically debited monthly by the amount you specify. You may cancel this option at anytime. CAAWS is a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

What does CAAWS use monetary donations for?
We have no paid staff so all money donated to CAAWS goes directly to animal care, medical expenses, shelter expenses, pet food, or pet supplies. If you want your donation to go toward a certain cause, you may earmark it for that purpose, such as heartworm treatment, spay/neuter, pet toys, humane education, building maintenance, etc.

Can I donate pet supplies to CAAWS?

Of course. Please make sure that it is either new or clean.
What kind of supplies do you need?

• pet carriers
• collars (the kind with the plastic buckle please)
• wire frame dog crates
• scoopable kitty litter
• canned cat food for our feral program
• humane feral cat traps
• grooming tools
• toys!
• We do not need treats, bedding, or food dishes.

Can I donate pet food to CAAWS?
We feed exclusively Science Diet to our animals. If you wish to donate a different brand, we will accept the food and give it to another shelter or a pet owner in need. For health reasons we can accept only unopened bags of food. We will accept and use all canned cat food.

What other items can CAAWS use?
We can also use office supplies, tools, lawn care equipment, educational materials, storage devices, cleaning supplies, and just about anything else.

Donate to help purchase an Emergency Generator for the Shelter

The caaws Shelter is the home for many of the dogs and cats that we rescue.  Volunteers feed , administer medication, exercise, and groom the animals as well as clean the facility each day. During power outages, the air conditioners, lights, fans and washer/dryers will not operate and the building becomes unbearably hot for the animals and Volunteers. 
CAAWS has started a special fund to purchase and install a generator for the Shelter. Please consider donating to this worthwhile project. All proceeds will be dedicated to this project and to the purchase of fuel to operate the generator.
